The shell structure of the Guitar Garden is a unique building, which was originally designed by Arizona artist Andrew Rush as an art studio for his work in the early 60's. After years of neglect, Arizona Slim acquired the property in 2003 and began immediately to transform the building into a state of the art facility. As a general contractor, Slim carefully crafted the remodel to include complete built in studio wiring for The Guitar Garden. |

The new studio features an isolation room, remote control room, and specially designed exterior wall treatment for maximum sound control from urban background noise. The exterior shell consists of 4" mud adobe veneer, 2" air space, 8" fully solid grouted CMU block, 3 ½" furred interior framing, cellulose Cocoon brand insulation installed in all interior as well as exterior fir outs, with 5/8" sheetrock finishing the package. |
